.....my last night dream

the sun was dipping when the honour guard reversed their rifles, and the trumpets played the last post. The crowd of warriors fell quiet. In the stillness, everyone can hear the bullets slide into the breech, and the uniforms rustle as the rifles were raised to 60degrees. The crackle of gun-fire was a shock. Once, twice, thrice.......twenty-first. And then all was still again.

A single wail broke out somewhere "MARTYR NEVER DIES": Then a lone cry of "LIVE LONG LIFE IN OUR HEART". And then a crescendo. A sea of people aloft pictures, posters & banners as they marched with the gun carriage along Parade Ground.
Mother crying and her was a pain shared by thousands. Braving the bitter pre-dawn cold, dozens of warriors had started arriving to Parade Ground before the sun broke through the fog.
It was grand. It was humbling. It gave a measure of the man & that of the people whose destinies I had controlled and will be with them forever.
The send-off that warriors gave revived memories of the LION IN SUMMER, the zenith of Martyr rule and most of all, the mega human emotions that only a few can summon.

I don't remember what exactly it was.....I think it will be my LAST JOURNEY.

  3. @ sudarshan- thnx for ur valuable comment. Actually what we need to do is to play our role only and as a soldier we should be least bothered about what others are doing....basically our motto sud be obediency with no question and if after that also u feel like changing the system you need to acquire power and know how to utilize them in the welfare of nation without letting the value of uniform down.....i can feel fire inside u, what i suggest u is to give them proper direction.
